I’m Bonnie Lynn Pausic,

Blue Skies Piano is founded on the belief that my students' musical education is of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those educational needs through every avenue possible:  instruction in piano performance, music theory, music history, ear training, improvisation, composition, as well as personal mentoring and character building. As a result, a high percentage of my clientele is referred to me by students and their parents, musical contacts, and colleagues.

About Bonnie

With more than 35 years of teaching experience,

Bonnie is a Classical and Jazz pianist and owner of Blue Skies Piano. Graduating from the University of Maryland, she earned a degree in piano performance.

She lists among her teachers, Jazz instructors Bradley Sowash and Les Carr, as well as Classical instructors Brian Ganz, Roy Hamlin Johnson, Paul Tardif, and Lana McCoy Bailey.  

Bonnie has taught both individual and class piano at Prince George’s Community College and mentored students in private and class piano, pedagogy, theory, ensemble performance, and accompaniment techniques at Suitland Center for the Visual and Performing Arts

Bonnie Pausic, Owner & Instructor of Blue Skies Piano works with a student.

Currently,

Bonnie teaches piano in various locations in Bowie, Maryland, and maintains a large roster of private, individual piano students, instructing and mentoring in piano performance, music theory, music history, and practical practice techniques. 

Many Blue Skies students win state and local competitions and continue on to be accepted at prestigious conservatories, colleges, and universities. 

Blue Skies’ online teaching practice began several seasons ago.

 

Additionally,

Bonnie attends innumerable workshops, conferences, classes, and seminars to continuously hone her teaching skills.

In service to her field, Bonnie judges for many local music associations in addition to the National Guild of Piano Teachers, where she is a certified teacher and a member of the Hall of Fame.  She is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Maryland State Music Teachers Association and has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer in local music associations.
